LETTER TO TYLER -turning off my reverse alarm.

If some of the people we see and admire today didn't rise up to pursue their God given purpose, they wont be the icon we aspire to emulate. We can't achieve that living in the Past. Mr Tyler Perry your messages, movies are source of inspiration to my life and this particular write up is setting me free, I wanted to reply the e-mail but couldn't,This seems like the best way I could, by sharing it with people who read my blog, those who don't have the opportunity of being in your mailing list like I am. At one point or the other everyone of us turn on the reverse alarm and it has kept us where we are now. I do this over and over again, even when am aware I can't change the past, I let the thought limit me but right now am turning it off. If i have to read this message everyday till it sinks in, I will do just that. What are you gonna do? Your generation is waiting for you.... If Mr Tyler didn't switch his reverse alarm off his message wont be a blessing to someone like me far away in Africa. Redeem your God given time, forget about the wasted years and start changing life today. I hope his message to me bless you as well.... "That Is Your Past And There Is No Future In It" Hey Ibukun, We have some golf carts at the studio. We use them to run around the campus, getting actors from here to there and so on. But the thing that bothers me the most about them is that when you put them into reverse a beeping alarm goes off. And it doesn’t stop until you go forward. It is so annoying to be in the middle of a shot, when I need it very quiet, to hear that beeping noise. I wanted the facilities guys to disconnect the reverse alarm but I was told that they couldn’t because it is a safety measure. The alarm is there to let people know that you’re about to go backwards. I walked back to my office thinking about this and this thought popped into my head: wouldn’t it be great if we as humans had an annoying alarm that made a loud continuous beep when we are about to go into reverse? When we’re about to look back, like when you’re about to pick up that phone and call an ex that you know is no good for you, wouldn’t it be great if that alarm went on and stayed on until you hung up the phone? Wouldn’t it be great for all the people around you to hear that alarm so that they know you are about to go backwards and bring up some old crap? I think husbands and boyfriends would love that… LOL. But seriously, there are a lot of people who are living their lives stuck in reverse, alarms going off, beeps beeping very loudly, but they can't get it out of reverse. You know these kinds of people, the ones that nobody wants to be around because they can be so annoying, always dwelling on the past. Full of “I wish I had done this” or “I wish I could have done that”. These kinds of people are sad to me, not focusing on the beauty of today, they’d rather dig through the ashes of yesterday. Listen to me, you can’t change anything that you have done in your past, all you can do is go forward. No matter how many mistakes you have made, no matter how many things you have done wrong, you have got to move forward. That is your past and there is no future in it. And the only way to move forward is to ask for forgiveness from the people who you have hurt and wronged. Whether they forgive you or not you must ask… sorry that’s just the way it is. If you don’t you will continue to reap bad things from what you have done to them, even if they don’t forgive you. You will have the power to be free because you asked for forgiveness. And secondly, you must forgive yourself. Forgiveness is the key that can move your life forward… and turn off the reverse alarm. Talk soon, Tyler

I WON, I CHOOSE RIGHT.

I apologize to my faithful readers who have asked me severally if I have abandon my blog, the answer is no. Although sometimes I feel like am so consumed with my publications and forget about sharing my thoughts, the truth is I made a promise to write just as it is and when something happens and I can’t share it the way it is, I choose not to write. I don’t want to be in the same situation with same people I have complained about, I believe the things I couldn’t share happened so I can understand the other perspective of writing, Some people have to make things up just because they don’t want to be Judged. As I fellowship today and I was having the thought of defeat and I could hear in my spirit, just because I choose right doesn’t mean I was defeated, Rather I am the winner. Some people think am a religious writer, the answer is no but my spirituality is part of me, so there is no way am going to write about my thoughts and leave that part of me, In fact my spirituality is my inspiration for doing what I love. Have you ever felt like just because you choose to make peace with someone who wronged you, you feel defeated? Or just because you let someone have their way and choose to do the right thing and they make you feel like they defeated you and you accept it. This morning I realize that just because I choose right makes me a winner. It leaves me free of guilt of doing the wrong thing and the supposed winner is still trap in the agony of their choice. The worst way of judging happiness, is judging from the face. It is deeper than that, it radiates from the inside and rub off on the people around you, then you won’t have to announce it, people see and feel it. I know it’s easier for us to go ask for forgiveness from some we have wrong but it harder to go reconcile with someone who has wronged us and sometimes when we try, we do it the wrong way. We condemn them and hope that makes us feel better. Ask yourself, does it make you feel better? Apostle Paul says in Romans 14:19 “Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another”. We are to approach peace through humility at the expense of our pride. It is the only way to see true reconciliation. Pride defends. Humility agrees and says, “You are right, I have acted this way, Please forgive me. That’s the wisdom from above.

The whole point is,” if it is possible as much as it depends on you, live peaceably with all men Romans 12:18” Either you are the right or wrong one, seek peace and do it the right way especially if you desire peace. Its unavoidable, this things trouble us, when you seek peace, it is for your sake and not the other person, you have chosen right therefore you are the winner not a looser don’t let the wrong thoughts lie to you. Sometimes it seems like am been unrealistic writing the impossible, I agree it’s hard but know for sure, when I write it I am willing to give it a shot. I refuse to be hindered by offense, bitterness, pain, betrayal and hurts that come from feeling defeated. I am a winner, I choose right.

WHO ARE YOU?

Have you discovered yourself? If yes, tell me do you really know who you are? I am going to speak from my own personal experience. I have realized that as we grow each and every day; we start to discover our purpose or rather we begin to understand our purpose better. I have also discovered that so many things we desire to be as a child because we have seen people succeed in it, doesn't mean that’s what we are called for. Nobody desires to be a failure but if you are operating outside of your God given purpose my friend you are a Failure. Often times even after we have discovered ourselves, either through life’s event or any other way. We expect it to happen automatically. Life has thought me that just as you have discovered yourself so has the enemy of greatness. And he will do all he can to frustrate you from fulfilling destiny. Darling it’s not because of you, it’s because of how many others your discovery will save. Our God given purpose is not for us to liberate ourselves and family, we are called for a greater work. It is very important we affect even our community and the world at large. So can you imagine how many the devil will lose if you succeed? He will try all he can to keep you in bondage of darkness so as not to realize “WHO YOU ARE”. I am not writing only for people who are yet to discover themselves but most especially people who have discovered themselves and have allowed one or two failures distract them from their true identity. The minute you realize this is the devil trying to frustrate your fulfillment, you will not stay down; rather you will keep rising each time you fall. Often times writers don’t tell us the reality of life, a lot of people are living a fictitious lifestyle. It’s not because they don’t want to tell the truth but the fear of being judge by the truth. I am not called to write as if life came as a magic even though am yet to get to my destination, our foundation is laid from now. Don’t wait until you get there, set a standard now. One day each one of you will have my book in your hand, the truth of it will offend a lot of people yet it will liberate a lot of souls. My focus is the souls it will liberate because am called because of them. After you have discovered yourself, from my experience you will still fail but the joy of updating my Blog this morning is the Greatest Love of the one who created me. I don’t know about you but I am not an ordinary person. I am greatness itself not because of myself but the unfailing Love of God that uphold me. In case you are wondering what am talking about, sorry that’s how much I have discovered myself. I AM A LOVED CHILD. Hate me or love me, all that matter is the love from above, my friend if you have that you have it all. Sometimes it takes a wrong step to discover you, nobody want trials and tribulation. We all desire to be great. Only a great man who has been tested can stand, life has thought me that. I don’t know what you believe in but I testify to you, so many times have lost my mind, but I NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE IT THIS FAR WITHOUT HIM, I NEVER COULD HAVE MADE IT WITHOUT HIM. I receive strength each day and I get better every day. It is also important to have people who believe in you, that also strengthens you but before you confide in anyone make sure He/She is really a confidant not someone who wants to hear your story for fun or feel better about themselves. I pray for you in this Journey of discovery the Most High shall be your true guide, He is available to be your true guide are you willing to be lead by Him? Love you all.

I LOOK TO YOU!!!

Anyone wondering why have been quite? I dont write to fill my blog, I get the drive. How often have you tried to change something you dont like about youself? How long did it take you? Were you ever able to change it? If No, Why are you quick to judge others? Why are you tryin to change others in a twinkle of an eye? Why do we run others down by mere hearsay, Without experiencing them. I learnt in very practical way last night that information passed from one person to the other is not as accurate as the first person who heard it directly, people tend to add and remove along the way. It happened in front of me, no one told me. If God created us all equal, life would have been so boring. The difference is what makes us all uniques in our own special way. Listen, am not condoling anyone to nurse there bad habit NO, All am saying is dont let the opinion of others derail you from your focus and vision because thats the mission of the accuser. Often times the people who run us down are worse than us. Where is your eyes? Who do you look unto? Who's opinion are you living by? As a beliver, when you Do something wrong and you knee before heaven to state your case asking for forgiveness, He forgives us and remembers it no more. Why then do we live in condemnation of mere mortals like us? Change is constant but there is one who changeth not, He is the unchanging changer. He causes change to happen in our lives. Today let your focus be on the one who can rewrite your story. Let the result of what the majesty of God will do in your life answer the mockery of men. The only way you can silence the accuser is to stay focus on your vision. Look only unto Him who is the unchanging changer, so that you can be remember for something Valueable.

MAKE A MOVE!!!!!

How many time have you written a New Year resolutions and at the end of the Year you find out none of it was accomplish? Most times its not because we dint pray enough about it, Rather its because all we do is pray and don't Act. We cant continue to do things the same way and expect a different result. Even the bible explains in James 2:14-18 "What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds." This year, I choose to make a move on each and everything I wrote. I believe Failure is when you stop trying. I urge you this year, Don't just sit and wish. Make it happen in your own little way. Make a move and watch heaven bless the move. As usual discouragement will come your way but don't Give up, let your focus be on the result not the work. Believe me at the end of the year you will be surprised. Have started and I tell you it working for me. THE TIME IS NOW..........MAKE A MOVE.

LIGHT AT MY FEET

I am a big fan of Tyler Perry, His Movies and play aint only inspiring but they are Godly, educative, real and even encouraging.You relate with it like its telling your own story. I am sure anyone who has seen one of His Movies would have his/her own opinion but my post is about what I read on his Facebook page, all through the weekend I couldn't stop thinking about it, one would expect that my first post this year should say something about my resolution or so, but I promise you this is more inspiring thaN anything I would have wanted to write.

"To all of you that use the cell phone light like I do, I just want to say this. For me, as I was walking through my dark house trying to get to my bedroom, it was truly an exercise in faith. I could only see the light at my feet. I had to trust that even though I could only see three feet in front of me, if I kept following this light, I would get there. It reminded me of a scripture in the bible, Psalm 119:105 "The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light into my pathway." Back in those days when people would travel through the night, they would use little lamps that were attached to their feet. The lamp only gave them enough light to see just a few steps in front of them. As long as they kept moving, they could find their way. If they stopped moving, so did the light. This moved me because this is how I have lived my entire life. I have always walked by faith. Sometimes there was only a little light, a little hope that kept me moving. There were so many times that I didn’t know how I was going to make it. So many times I didn’t know where my next meal was coming from, if my hope would be realized or if my dreams would come true. But no matter how dark it got, I kept moving. That is one of the keys to making your dreams come true. JUST KEEP MOVING FORWARD! If you’d allow me to, I’d like to challenge you to do more of that this year. Live by faith! No matter what you see happening around you, no matter how dark it may be, follow the lamp at your feet that God provides to us all, no matter who we are. A small step is still a step forward. At the top of every year, I stop and go away to reflect. I will usually take out my journal and read over some of the past years and look at all the things God brought me through, no matter how dark the times. What rereading my journal taught me is that there was always a lamp at my feet. I think if you look at your life, you’ll see a lamp too. :-) If you don’t, look closer. I promise you it's there! If you’re struggling in any way, financially, school, business, relationships, children, sickness, heartache, I so believe that God will be a light unto your pathway. IF YOU LET HIM!! Stop looking for the light at the end of the tunnel and look at the light at your feet and you’ll get there. I hope you remember this every time you use your cell to light a path. GOODBYE 2011

Its barely 7days to go and I already feel like goodbye. Woke up reflecting on as much event as I could remember in the year. The Joy, the pain, the Love, hurts, growth, disappointment, betrayal, inspiration and the list is endless. Luther sang "RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE" LIFE CAN TREAT YOU GOOD AND TURN AS COLD AS ICE. Life brings so much to us but in all this we shape or break our existence.

All the good and bad are what made us who we are right now. Have you had time to think about how you lived this year? The things you wish to change, the change you have made. As much as I feel bad about some decisions I made, Am proud of myself for some. The imbalance of Life keeps us going. I don't wanna bore you but use this medium to reach as many as I can. For everyone who has caused me pain, I receive strength to Forgive, for all I have caused Pain in this year I seek for forgiveness. For all those who has inspired me and that i have inspired, I pray for more Grace. For every Joy have had, I give God Praise. For Growth in my Spiritual life I owe it to God. For every friend have made, I love you,To my main crew (Pj,bugy & BK) I love you more. How can I forget my BB group Comedy Central,Its a source of laughter when am feeling blue and all the true friends i made from CC,KEEP THE FIRE BURNING. I cant mention you all but everyone who has made an Impact in my life this year, am blessed to have you in my life. To those who're gone, Its for an appointed time. "no hates" To My wonderful Baba Arike, My Special Unc D & BESTEST Aunty Pj, you all rock my World. Iya Arike aint left in this Journey, GOD bless you all.
