JUST AS I AM

This blessed me this morning and I trust that it would bless you too.As I read through, what struck me most is the fact that self righteousness is worse than sin. It is worth pondering, are we living according to the righteousness of Christ or Self-righteousness ? The Lord will help us as we seek wisdom from Him to walk on the right part. I urge you to come to Him just as you are and He will work it out for you... Are you talented? Gifted? Skilled? But you are unable to breakthrough? Then try righteousness. There are two types of righteousness: the first one is self-righteousness, which is worse than sin, and the other is God's righteousness. Some people are trying to avoid being over righteous and therefore continue sinning, and another tries to be righteous and in that wise becomes self-righteous. None of these are acceptable; as the only righteousness we need is that imputed by God. Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach. Sin is a stigma; it is like wearing a white cloth and having a stain on it. If we are righteous before God then we are wearing a white cloth and therefore cannot just hug anyone, as some have oil on their hands/body, and can put blemish on your white cloth. We may not understand sin from the perspective of the Spirit; but sin is capable of destroying the intimacy between you and God so that when you want to pray to your Dad in Heaven, it is like approaching your dad who is in a white suit and you have a lot of dirt on you - yet you want to hug him. God does not hate you, but he hates the dirt.
